Arlene M. McGinty

McGinty Arlene M. McGinty (Klosterboer, Barden), age 71, of Litchfield, lost her 2 year battle with cancer when she died peacefully at her home in Litchfield on April 14, 2004. Preceded in death by mother, Theda and father, Joe. Arlene loved dancing and listening to old time music, German songs, polkas and waltzs. As a self-taught piano player, she loved playing classical as well as boogie woogie music. She believed in being a role model of high (moral standards) and values, and integrity. Arlene had a strong will and at times was very outspoken about her beliefs and values. She valued herself a fair and honest person who didn't like to see injustices done. She had a sense of adventure and her travels included places such as Germany, Malaysia, Jamaica, and Hawaii. Survived by longtime companion, Dale McGinty; her daughter, JoAnn (Chris) Eagen; sons, Tony Barden (Debbie Chenweth), Mark Barden, Keith (Gail) Barden; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Theda Daily, Mildred Wright, Alice (Ervin) Essendrup, Doris Hush, Swanette (Dale) Heveron, Janet (LeRoy) Grandberg; and brothers, John (Betty) Klosterboer, Ken (Alvera) Klosterboer, Joe (SuLee) Klosterboer, Don Klosterboer, Howard Klosterboer; cousins, nieces and nephews.
