Wallace, Lori Ann 56, of Excel- sior, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014. She was born to the late Donald and Dee Allar and a graduate of Minnetonka High School and the University of Montana, where she studied forestry and music. Lifelong passions for nature and music brought her great joy, as did her love of animals. She nurtured a succession of devoted pets and was an avid horse rider and caregiver. Lori enjoyed tennis and golf, and was an ace Scrabble player and crossword puzzle worker. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Wallace; loving son, Kirk Johnson; siblings, Dennis Allar (Bobbie), Bruce Allar (Grace Schneider), Lynn Allar (Allen Hanson) and Brian Allar (Sonya Nederloe); along with numerous extended family members and devoted friends. Cremation was facilitated by Huber Funeral Homes. The family plans a private memorial and requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made to Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
