Dow, Alex Joseph of Minne- strista, MN passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2014, just a few months into his 30th year. Alex was born March 3, 1984 to Nancy (Lande) and Don Dow who brought him home to two adoring sisters, Jennea (Steve) Botts and Natalie (Kevin) Gaffney. He attend- ed Hopkins High School where he enjoyed playing hockey and soccer and later earned a degree in Public Relations/Communications from Mankato State University. Alex charmed everyone he met with his big smile, fun loving attitude and a great big heart. He loved spending time with his four nieces and nephews (Adeline, Drew, Kylie, and Kaiden) and every animal he came across. Alex is survived by and will always be remembered by his family including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special friend Molly. Visitation is on Wednesday, July 23rd 5-8 pm at Washburn & McReavy-Uptown, 2301 Dupont Ave. So. Mpls. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 11:00 am at Mount Olivet 5025 Knox Ave. So. Mpls (visitation one hour prior). In lieu of flowers, Memorials are preferred to "Alex's Memorial Fund". All memorials will be donated to Alex's favorite things - Hopkins Youth Hockey, the Animal Shelter and the Food Shelf.
