May Ruth (Nyberg) Moshier

Moshier, May Ruth nee Nyberg Age 90. May Ruth Moshier was born on December 9, 1927 in Big Lake, MN to Elmer and Myra Nyberg and was one of 17 children. She lived in the Big Lake area most of her life. She married Glen F. Moshier on July 6, 1946 in Webster, SD and together they raised 10 children. She was a mother and housewife and her children and grandchildren were her life's work and her greatest joy. May passed away on December 13, 2017 at the CentraCare Health Care Facility in Monticello, MN. May was preceded in death by her husband Glen, her granddaughter Tasha Moshier and her daughter, Vicki Scherber. May was also preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings, Lois, Steven, Duane, Lillian Steinkraus, Johnny, Gene and Barbara Gowin. May is survived by 9 of her children, Glenna Mae (Dan) Zitzloff of Maple Lake, Lenny (Amy) of Inver Grove Heights, Buck of Big Lake, Brian of Monticello, Becky (and special friend Sherry Walker) of Roseville, Chuck of Minneapolis, Lorie (friend, Brian) of Monticello, Troy (Stephanie) of Big Lake, and Scott (Stacey) of Brooklyn Park. May is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. May is survived by 9 siblings, Marian Carlson, Melvin, Richard, Lorraine Howe, June Konop, Vera Swanson, Judy Duncan, Roger, and Shirley. May enjoyed attending country music concerts with several of her children and traveling with her daughter Becky from South Padre Island to see the ocean for the first time to the Grand Canyon, shelling on Sanibel Island, and to South Carolina to visit relatives. May had an inner strength and will power that knew no limits. She was, and will always be, an inspiration to us all. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel 250 E. Broadway in Monticello. Visitations will be at the funeral home from 4-7:00 PM on Monday, December 18, 2017 and one hour before the service on Tuesday. Interment Riverside cemetery.
