Shaughnessy, Donald Lee age 71 of Robbinsdale died peacefully at home on Nov. 13, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Minneapolis and raised in Golden Valley. Don was a proud graduate of Robbinsdale High School Class of 1964. He enjoyed a successful career retiring from Burndy in 2012. Don was a movie and trivia buff who loved to travel, golf, fish, read, play games and eat good food especially Jean's cooking! Big Don always wore a smile he is loved and will be missed by many. Preceded in death by parents, Ed and Bertha "Mac" Shaughnessy, mother-in-law, Caroline Johnston and brothers-inlaw, Mike Gadbois and Larry Murphy. Survived by wife of 43 years, Jean; daughter, Adine; son, Donovan (Alyssa); grandchildren he adored, Kennedy, Rilynn and Lochlan; brother, Jim (Char); the Johnston in laws; many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday (11/16), 10 AM with visitation starting at 9 AM at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
