Cass, Catherine C. (Viehman) Passed away surrounded by her family on Oct. 11, 2017 at age 84. Preceded in death by husband, Robert "Bob" Sr.; parents, G. Edwin Viehman & Marie; brother, Ed Viehman; sisters, Margaret Viehman & Geraldine Zoebisch; and nephew, Tom Viehman. Catherine grew up in Minneapolis where she graduated in 1950 from Saint Anthony of Padua High School. Catherine's two greatest passions were her family and her career. At the center of her family was her son, Bob, daughter-in-law, Katy and grandchildren, Kelly, Bobby and Colleen. Her extended family were also a source of great joy in her life. She leaves behind her loving sister, Marie Ann Smith; her many nieces, nephews and their children who were all very dear to her. They are Gayle Kirkman (Denis), Ed Viehman (Cori), Paula Viehman, wife of the late Tom Viehman, John Viehman (Amy), Mike Viehman, Dan Viehman (Yvonne), Suzanne McMahon, Kathy Padelford, Zoe Ann Thurman (Ron) and Chris Zoebisch (Cheryl) and many special great-nieces and nephews. The happiest times of her life were when she brought her family together for any reason to celebrate! She loved time at the lake with her family, where they would often do a slow cruise on the pontoon, with a vodka tonic in hand and listening to her favorite Patsy Cline. Professionally, Catherine was a highly successful realtor in the Twin Cities with a career that spanned five decades. She reluctantly retired in 2012 at the age of 78. She was instrumental in the success of multi-family condominiums, such as Builder John Cross's Hidden Village in Golden Valley and Robert Keller's Green Briar Project of Minnetonka. The last part of her career was spent proudly representing Pratt Homes in the East Metro. Through her career she gained the respect and love of so many she worked with and sold to. Many became some of her dearest friends. With her extensive career as a saleswoman she was able to pen a book with some short stories of the many escapades she encountered during countless Open Houses. Her book was titled ~ "ONCE UPON AN OPEN HOUSE". Catherine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM Tuesday, Oct. 17th at the CHURCH OF ST.
