Boonstra, Marjorie H. age 79, of Apple Valley passed away peacefully on September 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Marge was born on April 24, 1938, in Clara City to Jenny and Henry Peters. She attended high school in Clara City and graduated in 1955. She was married to Gordon Boonstra on June 11, 1957, at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City, Minnesota, and they spent their 60 years of marriage in Clara City, Minneapolis, Eagan, and Apple Valley. Besides raising four boys, Marge spent many years working for School District 191 as a school cook and retired from Burnsville High School. She was musically talented and shared this gift for 34 years as Peace Reformed Church's first organist. Her favorite activities were spending time at the summer cabin on Lake Bertha near Pequot Lakes, attending her nine grandchildren's extracurricular activities, shopping for bargains for the grandchildren, and watching the Twins and Gophers. She will be missed by the hummingbirds, chickadees, and woodpeckers of Apple Valley and Ideal Township and dearly missed by everyone who was fortunate to meet her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Amyloidosis Foundation or Feed My Starving Children are preferred. Memorial gathering, 7-8:30pm TODAY and also one hour prior to the 2pm service Friday at Peace Reformed Church, 2180 Glory Dr., Eagan.
