Dybdahl, Catherine "Kate" V. age 94 of Aitkin died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her home. Catherine was born June 7, 1923 at Blind Lake, Minnesota the daughter of William and Catherine Christensen. She grew up and attended schools in Aitkin graduating in 1941. She was the first Homecoming Queen of Aitkin High School. She married Norman Dybdahl on September 26, 1945 at Richfield, Minnesota. They made their home in Crystal. Upon her husband's retirement they moved to the Aitkin area in 1986 and have lived here since. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also working in her flower gardens. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Jay Dybdahl of Plymouth, MN., Chris (Lou) Dybdahl of Otsego, MN., Steven (Wende) Dybdahl of Golden Valley, MN.; daughters and sons-in-law: Susan (Glen) Rollins of Cave Creek, AZ., Cheryl (Kerry) Gullickson of Robbinsdale, MN., daughter-in-law: Liz Pielow; grandchildren: Jenna, Zach, Molly, Anders, Kjell, Katelyn, Jennifer, Ethan, Connie and Maddy; great-grandchildren: Cole, Kylee, McKenna, Billy, Carter, Caleb and Finn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, daughter: Debra, son-in-law: Bill Pielow, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 AM from the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin with Rev. Sandy Berg Holte officiating.
