Peterson, Bruce Leroy was born August 25, 1955 at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA. His parents were the late Orin Peterson and Gayle Peterson (Sommors) of Staples, Minnesota. He attended Staples High School and graduated with the class of 1973. He then went to Staples Vocational School for photography and graduated 1977. Bruce married Dawn L. Peterson (Mack) on August 3, 1977. They were blessed with a son, Shawn. The Peterson's moved to Richmond, VA in 1977 where Bruce work for Fox Photo for 9 yrs. The family then moved back to Minnesota when Bruce accepted a job from Fuji Film, where he remained for the next 33yrs. Bruce enjoyed many activities before and after he retired from Fuji Film. They included, hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycle, BBQing, smoking cigars, and hanging with family and friends. On July 5, 2017 Bruce Peterson passed away at the age of 61, in Farmington Minnesota. He is preceded in death by his parents: Orin and Gayle. Bruce is survived by the following people: wife, Dawn Peterson of Madison, SD; son, Shawn (Melissa) Peterson of Arvada, CO; one grand-daughter, Isabella; brother, Mitch (Wendy) Peterson of Lakeville, MN; other relatives near and far, and a plethora of friends from around the globe. A Life Celebration will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at Sunshine Valley Gardens in Piedmont, South Dakota from 4pm to 7pm. A memorial ride/drive will follow the next day for the spreading of Bruce's ashes.
