Jacobson, Roy H. of Eden Prairie, born December 25, 1935, died August 11, 2017 at the age of 81. Survived by loving wife Elaine Jacobson; children Mark (Jill Conda) Jacobson, Keith (Karen) Jacobson, Brian (Teresa) Jacobson, Karen (Joe) Schlawin; grandchildren Katie, Megan, Melanie, Coryn, Brandon and Steven Jacobson, Caitlin (Hank) Heyer, Ryan, Sara, Rachel, Jacob and Hannah Schlawin; and Gloria Jacobson mother of Mark, Keith and Karen. Roy graduated Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. Served in the US Navy for three years as an Air Controlman during the Korean War. Competitive ski jumper-Minneapolis Ski Jumping Champion 1953. Past President of Minneapolis Ski Club, South Suburban Exchange Club, United Investors, Savage Flying Society, Lochmoor Condominium, Minnesota 1752 Club and Immanuel Lutheran Church Council. Roy worked in the insurance field and was voted Minnesota Field Representative of the year by the Minnesota Professional Agents Association in 1983-84. His interests included family, flying, fishing, woodcarving, reading, ski jumping, boating, travel, birds, environment and the home he and his family built on Lake Superior. Funeral service 11 AM Wednesday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 13600 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie. Visitations 5-8 PM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie and one hour prior to funeral service at the CHURCH.
