Arntson (Armstrong), Rhoda M. age 85, of Maple Grove. After a struggle with cancer went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 5, 2017. She was surrounded by Dad, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and J.J. Armstrong, a daughter Rebecca and by a granddaughter Kristen. Survived by our Dad, her husband of 65 years: Duane; her children: Michael (Ruth Ann), Valerie and Jennifer (Tobey Berning); her sister: Martha; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; other relatives. Mom grew up in St. Paul. She graduated from Minnehaha Academy which is also where she met our Dad. They graduated with the Class of 1949. She also received an Associate of Arts Degree from Bethel College. In 1951 they were married. Along the way they had four children. Our Mom was a woman of faith, grace and thoughtfulness. She was given a gift from God to play the piano. Mom used this gift during her life-time serving several churches as the pianist. Graveside Memorial Service honoring our Mom will be held at The Orrock Cemetery, Orrock, Minnesota. It is located 6 miles west of Zimmerman, Minnesota off Sherburne County Road 4 at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017. Look for "Rhoda" sign on the north side of the road. Following the Graveside Memorial Service there will be a lunch.
