Richards, Rev. Gordon L. of Arden Hills, died on May 15, 2017 at age 90. He was born on Sept 8, 1926, grew up in MN and was educated at Minot State Teachers College, Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University and Vanderbilt University. Served in the South Pacific during WWII. For 40 years he was a United Methodist pastor in SD and MN. Survived by his wife of 64 years Pauline; children Rev Stephen (Amanda), Rebekah (Mike Hvidsten), Elizabeth (Liz Pierce), Deborah; grandchildren Lauren (Mark Warren) and Bethany Richards, David (Sarah Hickman), Sarah and Nathan Hvidsten, Garvin (Caroline Donnelly) and Morgan Jellison; sisters Phyllis Herman, Joyce Flight, Janice Iverson (John). Memorial Service Thursday 5/25/17 11AM, visitation 10AM, at Centennial United Methodist Church, 1524 W Cty Rd C-2, Roseville. Memorials preferred to "Gordon L Richards Scholarship" Hamline University, 1536 Hewitt Ave, St Paul MN 55104. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
