Quinn, Karen E. age 69, of New Hope, passed away March 21, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents Elmer and Zula (Hein) Aakre; and son, Gary Couet. Karen was co-owner of Quinn Transervices with her husband, Gary. She loved to entertain, hosting many family gatherings at their home, always with wonderful food and lots of laughter. Her sense of humor was infectious and she could tell a great story. She valued personal growth and received an Associate of Arts degree along with becoming a certified personal trainer. Always a positive person, she influenced others to look at life with joy and anticipation of good things to come. She will be missed by her husband of 36 years, Gary; son, David (Sandra) Couet; step-daughter, Jodi (Rich) Hill and step-son, David (Stacey) Quinn; grandchildren, Andrew and Trevor (Ashley) Nordick, Noah, Samuel, Brad and Josh Couet, Charles and Emily Hill, Anna and Dominic Serino; three great grandchildren; siblings, LeAnn Aakre, Keith (Jackie) Aakre, Anita (Terry) Lewison, and Sally Aakre (Jim Wilson); five nieces and one nephew. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Friday, April 7, at 1:00 PM, at Wayzata Free Church, 705 County Rd. 101, Plymouth. Visitation is one hour prior to service. A private burial ceremony will be held at a later date.
