Martin Anton Erickson, IV

Erickson, Martin Anton IV Age 35 of Apple Valley, passed away January 10, 2017 at U of M Hospitals. Preceded in death by his mother, Lynda Schleif Erickson; grandparents Martin Erickson II, Alma & Harold Schleif. Survived by father, Martin A. M. Erickson, III, RPh (David Marsteller), Apple Valley; grandmother Jeanne Holland Erickson RPh, Warroad; sister Emily Jeanne Erickson, Apple Valley; aunts Cheryl (Schleif) Luckow (John), Bloomington & Marilyn (Erickson) Keller (Thomas), Oshkosh, & uncle Kirk Erickson (Deborah J., MD), Warroad; and many family & friends. A licensed Paramedic, he worked at Ringdahl EMS (Fergus Falls) & AMR (Palm Springs) & in emergency centers after Gulf Coast oil spills and hurricanes. He enjoyed motorcycling, taking trips from Palm Springs to the Gulf and then home to Minnesota. Despite his health issues, he was a student pilot who continued to maintain contacts with his many friends personally, online and on Amateur Radio license W0JFC, his Grandpa Erickson's former call. An intellectually curious, compassionate, community builder, whose eclectic interests spanned from technology to world religions, he planned to complete a B.S. Biology, followed by a Physician's Assistant Master's practicing in psychiatry. His winning smile, kind demeanor, and bright mind are deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
