Fier, Rose M. Age 87 formerly of Golden Valley. Survived by children Teresa (John) Mucci, Robert Fier, Fr. Brian Fier, Kristin (Kevin) Welin, Justin (Janice) Fier & Jonathan (Susan) Vaughan-Fier; grandchildren Noah, Lily, Jeffrey, Jennifer, David, Katherine, Madeline, Jessica, Owen & Bennett; sister Anne Masters; sister-in-law Pat Bydlon. Preceded in death by parents Anne and Joseph Bydlon; husband Floyd; brothers Chester (Dorothy), Frank (Mary), Rudy & Andy; sisters Josephine (John) Yencho, Cecelia (Dick) Gadbois, Irene (Jack) Dolan & Patricia (Don) Holcomb. Rose was proud of her Polish American heritage and North Minneapolis beginnings, especially her early years at St. Phillips School and Church and then North High School (class of 1947). She met the love of her life at a Junior Catholic League dance, and they were married in 1951. Floyd and Rose were blessed with 55 years of marriage and six children and ten grandchildren. They were longtime parishioners of St. Margaret Mary's Church in Golden Valley. Rose worked many years in administration for the Minneapolis Public Schools before retiring in the 1990s. She loved her family, her faith, her friends, and people in general. Funeral Mass 11 AM Friday, January 27 at the Church of St. Margaret Mary, 2323 Zenith Ave N., Golden Valley. Visitation Thursday 5-8 PM with rosary at 7:30 PM at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel 3888 W. Broadway. Memorials preferred to Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
