Couillard, Edith J. age 90, of Richfield. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend known for her wit and zest for life, went home to the Lord on January 17, 2017. Graduate of US Navy Nurse Corps during WWII. Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary for Branch 9, National Association of Letter Carriers Union, Registered Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, Mpls., for 30 years. She was preceded in death by husband, Walter of 62 years; granddaughter, Jenny Sandahl and sisters, Ruth Holmes, Florence Murray and Mary Helen Lutes. Survived by daughter, Sue Sandahl (Mike); sons, Tom (Margi), Dave (fiancée, Jan Bastyr), Jim (Robin), Dan (Marie), Rob and Paul (Jennifer) Couillard; 21 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Jan. 24, 11:00 AM at St. Richard's Catholic Church, 7540 Penn Ave. S., Richfield. Interment Ft. Snelling.
