Kumlin, Dennis Frederick "Denny" November 12, 1935-January 15, 2017 of Orono MN passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2017. Preceded in death by wife Barbara. Survived by son Chris; grandchildren Alex, Dylan, Sabrina; daughter, Kelley Woodhead (John); grandchildren Brayden, Zachary; son, Jon (Amy), grandchildren Jorja, Brynn, and Grace. Born November 12, 1935 in Minneapolis, a graduate of Washburn High School. Denny went on to graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN in 1957.Denny married Barbara Basche on September 23rd, 1961. Dennis was an ambassador to Ducks Unlimited, and was inducted to the Minnesota Waterfowl Hall of Fame in 2013. The times he was the happiest was hunting ducks in Alexandria, MN with his two boys where they owned some hunting land, or fishing with the whole family on Lake of the Woods. Denny was quick witted and fun to be around. There were always stories to be told by Denny. The family will have a private service at a date to be determined.
