Bill R. Richeson

Richeson, Bill R. age 85, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Eden Prairie, MN, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by parents Clarence and Orva (Faulconer) Richeson of Shelbyville, IN; wife Carleen (Jose) Richeson of Eden Prairie, MN. Survived by sister, Sheila and brother-in-law Calvin Knobeloch of Durham, NC; son and daughter-in-law Matt and Rhonda Richeson, and grandson Andrew, of Omaha, NE; and daughters Nancy Richeson of La Crosse, WI; and Marcy Richeson of Eden Prairie, MN; many nieces and nephews. Bill had a long career in the Accounting and Finance profession with Pillsbury and ConAgra Foods. After graduating from Shelbyville High School he attended Indiana University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1953. After Bill graduated from college he married his high school sweetheart, Carleen Jose in December of that year. He served as an officer in the Air Force before returning home to serve in the Indiana National Guard. He started his career with Pillsbury shortly thereafter. He worked for ConAgra in Omaha, NE, then back to Minneapolis, working for Golden Valley Microwave Foods, Edina, MN (acquired by ConAgra). Upon his retirement, and the death of Carleen, he moved to Sun City West, Arizona where he reconnected with old friends and his love of golf. He moved back to the cold weather in the fall of 2013 to be closer to his children. Bill was first and foremost a family man. He will be remembered for his gentle disposition, open mind, kind heart, sense of humor, sweet smile, his love of martinis and his sparkling blue eyes. Many thanks for the loving care of The Colony in Eden Prairie, and a special thanks to our angel Josephine. Our family appreciates all the love and support we've received through Dad's journey, from family, dear friends, and our hospice team. To show our appreciation, we are directing any memorials to Fairview Hospice @ 612.728.2455/2450 26th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN. 55406 or fairview.or/…. A special note directing memorials to the Music Therapy program would be appreciated. Brenton, with his magical voice and guitar, was a gift to Bill in his final weeks. There will be no services, but a Hawaiian sunset is in Bill's future.
