John Barry McCool

McCool, John Barry Died Nov. 21 after a horrible struggle with fronto-temporal dementia (FTD). Born Nov. 3, 1949, at St. Mary's Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn., to parents Margaret Jean McCool and John Francis McCool. He attended Washburn High School where he was nicknamed "Bucks." Barry was well known in the design and marketing industry. He created McCool Unlimited to manage his wife Nancy Carlson's children's literature career. Barry was eagerly involved in his kids' sports.Proceeded in death by parents, brother Scott, father-in-law Walter Carlson and favorite uncle Howard. Survived by wife Nancy Carlson; children Kelly McCool Rebhorn (Brian), Patrick McCool and Michael McCool; granddaughters Charlotte and Lilly Rebhorn; sister Cathy McCool (David DuRee) and many nieces and nephews. You will be missed, Barry, but we are happy you are free of this evil disease and are now in heaven. Services at 3 pm, Dec. 16, Good Samaritan Methodist Church, Edina, with reception following at Braemar Golf Course Clubhouse to toast Barry and share stories.
