Dubé, Arthur Eugene Jr."Art" age 91 of Mpls. Born April 28, 1925 and passed away peacefully on Sept. 29th, 2016 with his fam-ily at his side. Art proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and remained enlisted for 20 years. Additionally he worked at the V.A. Medical Center as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic for another 20 years. In 1958 Art joined what is known today as the Morris Park Players and was the back bone of the community theatre group for 50 years. The City of Mpls. declared November 6, 2009 Art Dubé Day in honor of his steadfast commitment to his community and the arts. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Arletta Plank, parents, Arthur Sr. and Hilda Dubé, brothers, Robert, Wallace and Donald Dubé and a sister Carole Anderson. Survived by his children, Deborah (Michael) Price, Michelle (Kenneth) Meade, James (Suzanne) Dubé and Jeannine (Jesse) Quam. 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a brother, Charles (Rose) Dubé as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday from 4-8 pm at the Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S. and one hour prior to the Mass at Church. Fleet Reserve Two Bell Ceremony, 7 pm and a prayer service 7:30 pm Monday at the funeral chapel. Per Art's request, memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
