James Albert Weber

Weber, James Albert of Cannon Falls, MN, died Friday, August 26 at home with his family after a six year battle with cancer. He was born on September, 2, 1936 in Rogers, MN. He attended school in Fletcher, MN. In 1959 married his wife Eleanor Quigley with whom he enjoyed 57 wonderful years. He is survived by his wife and 7 children, Michael (Kate), Gregory (Nadia), Stephen (Vickie Tholkes), Rita (Rudy) Emrick, Colleen (David ) Willis, Thomas (Lisa), Paul (Elizabeth Lavigne), and 9 grandchildren Samuel and Josh Emrick, Caroline and Anthony Willis, Clare, Nora and Molly Weber and, Maeve and Teagan Weber. His surviving siblings are Gerald Weber, Annette Talbot, Judith Knapp, and Kenneth Weber. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gertrude Weber, and siblings, Harland Weber, Beverly Ebner, and Charles Weber. Jim and Eleanor operated J. A. Weber Sod and Landscaping Company in Rogers, MN prior to moving to Cannon Falls in 1974 where they owned the Westwind restaurants in Cannon Falls and Red Wing. As a local businessman, he was a Rotarian and committed to the community.
