Smerud, Lyle Cameron Age 89, of Deephaven, formerly of Solway, passed peacefully in his sleep August 20, 2016. He is preceded in death by wife, Margaret Estelle; and brother, Marvin. He is susrvived by children, Lynn (J.B.) Brown, Deborah (Vincent) Colarell, and Larry (Lynn); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; soon to be 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Lyle was a member of the Minnetonka Clipper Chorus for over 50 years and sang in the church choir. He also loved fishing with his son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by many. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 26 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran (301 County Rd. 19, Excelsior) at 11:00AM with a visitation 1 hour prior. Interment at Mt.
