Ogundiran, Anthony Adejare Tony -The Greatest Viking Fan Passed away peacefully and sweetly into the arms of Jesus in the afternoon on his birth day 7-21-2016 @ Fairview University Hosp with his wife Charline by his side. He fought a very hard battle with cancer for a little over a year. He will be dearly missed by countless family, friends, and co-workers. To know him was to love him. Anthony was born in Awe, Oyo State, Nigeria. He loved America, and was not ashamed of his Nigerian heritage as well. He was a true Vikings Fan, and enjoyed tailgating at football games. He was outgoing, positive, and an advocate for peace and equality. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survived by his wife Charline, his former wife Julie Ann Ward, son Michael Adewale Ogundiran, daughter Folasade Elizabeth Ogundiran, step chidren Andrew & Abigail and grandaughter Aubree Summer Ogundiran. Anthony was driven to live up to the best of his potential every day, and even during his illness, despite his discomfort, he was industrious, thoughtful, loving, and maintained a positive outlook. Anthony was a nurse for many years, and was an excellent one, and for the last 10 years Anthony worked for AFSCME International as an Union organizer. A memorial service to celebrate Anthony's life will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 2pm @ the Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN.
