LeVesque, James W. Age 72 of Nisswa, formerly of Minneapolis and Cannon Falls, peacefully passed away June 25, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, Doug and Irene LeVesque. Jim was an Olympic speed skating hopeful, but was drafted and served in Viet Nam. He taught elementary school for 34 years with St. Paul Schools, retiring in 2004. He moved to his lake home in Nisswa, where he enjoyed many rounds of golf, daily boat rides, horseshoes, sunsets, and laughing with family and friends. Survived by Melissa LeVesque-Piela, daughter (Christopher), grandchildren Lauren and Andrew, and former wife, Patricia Kindstrom LeVesque; Brothers Richard (Bernie), John (Cheryl), Sister Nancy Halgren, aunt, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and beloved dog Merry. Services at 11:00 on Thursday, 6/30, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Nisswa; Visitation 9:30. Memorials preferred to Children's Cancer Research Fund or Heartland Animal Rescue. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN.
