Markovich, Joseph J. age 93, of Bloomington, passed away June 26, 2016. Survived by daughter, Shawn Perlich (Mark); grandchildren, Rebekah (Dion) Gillard, Joshua (Kelly), Hannah, Benjamin, and Jared (Kristin) Perlich; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Millie Barbato, Mary (George) Mogush and Dorene Richmond; nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Born Oct. 17, 1922 in Eveleth, MN. Veteran of WWII, ( Army ) and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Joe graduated from the U of M in 1952 and enjoyed a career as a Pharmacist for 50 years. Preceded in death by parents, Sam and Milka Markovich; siblings, David, Peter, Anne and Tonnie. He was a longtime member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. Funeral service Thursday, (June 30), at 11:30 AM at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S, Richfield. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Friday, 11:45 AM.
