Marsha A. Wetzler

Wetzler, Marsha A. Age 77, of North St. Paul, passed away peacefully surroun-ded by family on June 21, 2016. Her life was dedicated to family, children and education. Marsha was a strong person who led a life of discipline, bravery and compassion while managing her type 1 diabetes. She approached each day with a smile never complaining or letting the challenges she faced show. She spent her happiest times in the outdoors especially on or near the water. She was an active volunteer with programs including the American Red Cross, founding the Backpack Program for children in need at North St. Paul High School and teaching English to children and adult immigrants. Marsha and Dick enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Norway. Survived by husband Richard, son Steve (Kim, Tucker), daughter Kristin Deltano (Dave, Matthew, Abby), sister Sandy Hutchinson (Hutch), brother Jeff Lindstrom (Lynette) and many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Mildred Lindstrom and sister Dona Adams. Services will be held at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis on Friday, July 1st with visitation at 1:30 pm followed by service at 2:00 pm. Interment directly following. Memorials preferred to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF's mission is to help turn Type One into Type None.
