Chadwick, Calvin Roy Born February 22, 1943. Died surrounded by loving family on Easter Eve, April 19, 2014. Long-time owner of Cal's Market and Garden Centers in Bloomington and Savage. Survived by wife Beverley; daughters Carina (Bryan) Peterson of Prior Lake, Julie (Dave) Allen of Denver, and Katie (John) Champoux of Breckenridge, CO, and grandchildren Travis, Brandon, Cali, Lena, Berit, Anders and Johnny; sister Mary (Tony) Miller of San Pedro, CA; brothers Bill (Kris Jacobson) of Minnetonka, and John of Excelsior. Cal graduated from Bloomington High School and Macalester College. He started selling strawberries and sweet corn from a card table in front of the family home when he was nine years old. Not only did he love visiting with all the customers at Cal's Market, he also loved farming the land, growing geraniums in his greenhouse, and skiing. But his greatest loves were his family, his faith and his many friends. He was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder and holding down a spot in the back pew each and every Sunday. He will be missed by so many for his sharp mind and quick wit. A celebration of Cal's life and God's promises will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 2200 W. Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington (corner of Penn Ave. S. and 102nd St.). Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 22, 5-7 PM at the church as well as one hour before the service Wednesday.
