Edwards, Thomas W. age 77, of Rogers, former longtime resident of Mpls., released his soul to be reunited with his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Nancy "Sunny." Preceded in death by Sunny; parents, Lon and Esther Edwards, and brother, Bob Edwards. Survived by children, Cindi Edwards-Plant (Patrick/"Bat" Plant), Greg (Diane) Edwards, Lonnie (Mike) Papke, and Marion Edwards; granddaughter, Tina Edwards; brother, Jerry (Ginny) Edwards; sister, Judy Arms; many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Graduating from Southwest High School (1955), Tom was an active alumni, involved with class reunions and the SWHS Foundation. He started his career at DeVac as a draftsman, then followed his passion for computers at Personal Business Systems, First Tech and Boston Scientific. Freelance silkscreening and sign painting for many years showcased his artistic talents. He loved taking day trips in the car off the beaten path, recording the adventure with his camera. Tom was always a patient mentor in any of his diverse skills. Celebrate his life with us at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Washburn-McReavy, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
