Rorem, Shirley A. age 88 of Richfield, passed away May 30, 2016 after a long struggle with COPD. We want to thank the staff at Fairview Hospice for their wonderful support. Shirley retired from AT&T on July 31, 1990. Awards received from AT&T include the Charles R. Cooke Commemorative Award and numerous Eagle award nominations for Client/Customer Satisfaction Above and Beyond the Call of Duty. Preceded in death by mother, Emma Olson; father, Richard N. Olson; brother, Richard Olson; husband, Ralph Rorem. Survived by son, Robert Rorem of Richfield; daughter, Sharon Rorem of Richfield; sister-in-law Elaine (Jack) LaLanne of Morro Bay California; sister-in-law Lila(Richard) Olson of Foster City, CA; nephews Jon LaLanne, Daniel Doyle, and Jerry Olson; nieces Jane Norell, Lynne Thorson, Judy Rorem Christensen, Jill Olson and Jan Westphal. Memorial Service Friday, June 3rd at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to service at Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave S. Private interment Lakewood cemetery at a later date.
