Peterson, Barbara E. of Mpls, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. at the age of 86. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Donald of 64 years. They were married in Barbara's home town of Gonvick, MN, on April 11, 1951. Barbara is lovingly remembered by her sons, Craig, Michael, David and her daughter-in-law, Jan; and her sister, Wanda of Cloquet, MN. She leaves many fond memories behind for her two grandsons, Eric and Marty. They will deeply miss her. They both brought much joy to her life. Over the years Barbara along with her husband Donald were very active in their church, Faith Lutheran in Forest Lake, where they previously resided before moving to River Village in NE Mpls, where she had the chance to meet many new friends. Even with Barbara's failing eye sight, she took great pride in how she looked every day and did her best to get along without the MANY pairs of high heel shoes she wore up until a couple of years ago. Barb especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her kind heart. We have loved her in life; let us not forget her in death! A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at 11 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 129 29th Ave NE, Mpls.
