Joshua Luke Beal

Beal, Joshua Luke age 28, died suddenly and tragically on Thursday, passing away in his sleep at home in Roseville. Preceded in death by grandparents, Dan and Evie Beal and Gene and Sara Engelbert. He is survived by his parents, Eric and Laura Beal, sister and brother-in-law Whitney and Chaz Afong, three very beloved Afong children, Toka, Tehani and Tamasi, and sister, Karli Ronchi and her husband Grant; and many other relatives and friends. Josh was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and in a uniquely powerful way, he delighted in being an uncle. As friends and family gathered in mourning at the Beal home on Thursday evening, stories and tributes poured out in honor of Josh. We knew Josh to be kindhearted, open minded, honest, and a very, very loyal selfless friend. He took pride in his family's heritage of service in education, he was the grandson and son of teachers, and he was pursuing his degree in preparation for a career in education. He was a devoted Minnesota Wild fan, and due to his Finnish heritage, he took a special joy in the play of the Wild's Finnish players. His friends loved their times with him boating on Lake Owasso, and the family spent treasured days with him at family cabins on lakes, Ward and Gull. He had a great capacity for connecting with friends new and old on a deep level. Josh was avid about Ford trucks, NASCAR racing, the music of the Underground Kings, and he nurtured a passion for History. His friends described him as being fearless, but much to their amusement, with the notable exception of a fear of snakes. A celebration of Josh's life will be held on Friday, February 19th, from 4:30- 7:30 pm at the John Rose Skating Center, Banquet Facilities, 2661 Civic Center Drive, Roseville. The loss of a man so kind, so caring and so young brings us sorrow and grief for his death, and profound gratitude for his life. Blessings unto you Uncle Josh. Roseville Memorial Chapel 651-631-2727
