Renteria, Benedict "Ben" "Carman" age 97 of Spring Park, formerly of St. Paul. A graduate of St. Paul Harding High School. Honorably discharged from the US Air Force. Graduate of the University of Minnesota. 40 year member of the St. Paul Fire Dept., retiring in 1988 as District Chief. Enjoyed fishing, golf, all sports and was an avid reader. Preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Frances; brothers and sisters, Paul, Bill, Pete, Joe, Abby & Amelia. Survived by wife, Peggy; brother, Art Renteria (Janet); brother-in-law Monte; many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial service Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd, Mound (952-472-1284). A visitation will take place for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Private family interment Union Cemetery, Mound.
