Edson Roland Weeks, III

Weeks, Edson Roland III age 63, of Ham Lake, MN, passed away surrounded by his family at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL on February 8th, having battled many complex health issues over the past decade. Ed was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 2nd, 1953 to Edson Jr. and Johanna (Whaley) Weeks. Ed married his devoted wife, Roberta Schmaltz, on May 17th, 1985 and moved to Ramsey, MN, becoming a family with his daughter Tiffany and Roberta's son Tim. They expanded their family by two children, Kristi and Eddie IV, before moving to Maple Grove, MN where they lived for 20 years. Ed held various executive positions for a variety of medical device manufacturing companies, including Cardiac Pacemakers/Guidant, Aequitron, Pulmonetic Systems, and others. Ed was devoted to his Lord and Savior and was an active member of Victory Baptist Church of Maple Grove, where he served as treasurer for several years. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, summers at the cabin, winters in Panama City Beach, and shopping at Menards for his never-ending list of "projects". What Ed loved more than anything was spending time with family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. Despite his many health conditions, Ed was always upbeat. He was well known for his Hawaiian shirts, generosity, caring concern for others, sense of humor, and outgoing personality. He was always making friends wherever he went, and had a story or joke for every occasion. Ed is survived by his wife Roberta Weeks of Ham Lake, his children Tim (Kassie Janezich) Mosser, Tiffany (Reggie Revier) Weeks, Kristi Weeks, and Eddie Weeks, his grandchildren T-Jay, Story, Max, and Scarlett, mother Johanna Weeks, and siblings Candy (Randy) Kolbow, and AmyJo (Charlie) Rothbauer, and a multitude of other relatives and life-long friends. Ed is preceded in death by his father, Edson Weeks Jr. Services will be held at 2:30pm on February 19th, at Victory Baptist Church of Maple Grove at 13560 63rd Ave. N. Osseo, MN 55311. A visitation will be held at the church from 1:00-2:30 preceding the service. Ice cream social at the church to follow the service.
