Dr. David Russell Lang

Lang, Dr. David Russell 72, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in St. Pete Beach, Florida. David was born on February 22, 1943, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Russell and Helen (Henderson) Lang. He graduated from Rochester John Marshall high school in 1961, and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1966. On August 15, 1961, he married Kay Thompson in Rochester. They had three children but were later divorced. On December 31, 1973, he married Alice (Beth) Washick. They lived in Bloomington, Minnesota, where David practiced dentistry for many years. Upon his retirement in 1998, David and Beth moved to St. Pete Beach, Florida. They also maintained a cabin on Whitefish Lake in Minnesota, where they enjoyed boating and golf. David is survived by his son Michael Lang of Edina, Minnesota, daughter Suzanne Lang of Minnetrista, Minnesota, daughter Monica Lang of Akron, Ohio, granddaughter Madison Lauberth of Newport Beach, California; brothers Richard (Rebecca) Lang of Scottsdale, Arizona and James (Janet) Lang of Sun City West, Arizona; nieces and nephews; and special friend Linda Davis of St. Pete Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beth and grandson Bobby Prete. A memorial service will be held on February 12, 2016, at the Pasadena Community Church in St. Petersburg. A summer memorial service is planned for Minnesota at date to be determined. Memorials are preferred to the institution of your choice.
