Wilfred V. 'Wil' May

May, Wilfred V. "Wil" Age 93, of Richfield, Minnesota, Wil passed peacefully on January 28, 2016 in Minneapolis. Born September 28, 1922, in Browerville, Minnesota to Vincent and Lucy (Gaida) May. He was a lifelong resident of Minnesota, with past residences in Minneapolis, Savage and Shakopee. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Alice Rudy. He is survived by brothers Larry (Sandy) May of Edina, MN, and Don (Sharon) May of Windermere, FL; five nieces and five nephews; and his dear friend Mabel Eichhorn of Richfield. Wil was an active third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Marian Council, of Bloomington. Wil lived life to its fullest. He enjoyed travel and the great outdoors, and especially his cabin on Cedar Lake near Annandale, MN. He was a fan of the Minnesota Twins from their first years at Met Stadium. He made many trips to Florida with WCCO Fan in the Stands groups, and Twins spring training games. His work life included 32 years with the Our Own Hardware Company of Minneapolis and Burnsville, MN, where he retired in 1984. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Catholic Church of St Peter, 6730 Nicollet Ave So, in Richfield, MN at 10:30 am, Thursday, March 3, 2016. Visitation will begin at 9:30am. Inurnment service will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN.
