Nita A. Ericksen

Ericksen, Nita A. Age 75, of Bloomington, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on December 22, 2015 from kidney failure. She was preceded in death by her parents Agnes (Lund) and Norris B. Evenson, and brother-in-law Bob Hodson. A lifelong caregiver, Nita (Neets) enjoyed a 40 yr career as an RN with 30+ of those yrs at HCMC as a dialysis nurse for the Regional Kidney Disease Program (RKDP). Her pint-sized, clog-wearing, fast-walking, smile-bearing persona was well-known and well-loved by her colleagues, friends and family. Nita loved to entertain, lay-out in the sun, work in her yard and cruise in her convertible. Her family was her life and her home a haven to them all. She was a beautiful, caring, hard-working, selfless, generous, strong, witty and LOVING mom to Brad (Kris), Tark (Sue Leeman), Wendy (Woody) Bachman, Scott (Missy) and Heidi (Derrick) Strander and an oh-so-proud Grandma to Hannah, Luke and Rachel Ericksen; Kristi (Bryan) Bender, Trevor and Blake Ericksen; Beau, Alina, Chloe and Avery Bachman; Cooper and Tessa Ericksen; Sutton, Griffin and Jacie Strander. Neets was a fun-loving sister to LoAnn (Lol) Hodson, Ron (Jeannine) Evenson, Bonnie (Norm) Franke, Laurie (Allen) Myers and was adored by many nieces, nephews, cousins and former husband, Ed Ericksen as well as longtime friend, Ron Gray. An Open House Celebration of Nita's Life and Legacy will be held at her home, 8473 Morris Ave. S. in Bloomington on Wednesday, December 30th from 3-8pm. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society or donor's choice. Thanks Be to God for the life and legacy of Nita!
