Chapman, Helen Helen was born in 1916 to Jennie and Thomas Chapman in Paterson, NJ. In her early 20's she worked for American Express in NYC. She married Charles French, Jr in 1941 and together had 7 children. She lived in NJ, Pennsylvania, Ohio and settled in Minnesota in 1960. After her retirement from the Minneapolis Public Schools she enjoyed living independently, traveling the world, nurturing grandchildren, enjoying great-grandchildren, delivering meals on wheels, playing cards with family and friends, and being an inspiration to all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul, daughter Alice and grandson Andrew. Survived by children Jane, Don, Doris, Bob, Nancy & Pam; grandchildren Bret, Keats, Damon, Wells, Tania, Kirstin, Robert, Bryana & Princess; and great-grandchildren Meghan, Rand, Sasha, Jake, Katelyn, Rashiq, Leila, LaBrayah, Robert & Aidan.
