Richard B. Hagen

Hagen, Richard B. Age 84, of Excelsior Minnesota and Naples Florida, passed away September 26, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Ben R. Hagen and Lillian (Petie) Hagen and daughter-in-law Dede Hagen. Dick owned and operated Hagen's Appliances in Minneapolis for over 35 years. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War and graduated from the University of Minnesota where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He attended United Church of Christ in Naples, Florida and Congregational Church of Excelsior in Excelsior, Minnesota where he sang in the choir. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. To know Dick was to love him. Survived by his wife, Patricia Luce Hagen; mother of his children, Janice Stephens Hagen; daughter, Jenny (Eric) Maine; sons, John and Jim Hagen; step-children, Kathryn (Art) Garfunkel and David (Kim) Cermak; grandchildren, Jack and Harley Wedholm, Hannah, Garrett, Whitney and Parker Hagen, Anna Cermak, James and Beau Garfunkel; sisters, Helen (David) Gangsei, Heidi (David) Hawkinson; and brother, Bob (Connie) Hagen. Our thanks to Open Circle of Hopkins and Sunrise of Minnetonka for their comfort and support during the last days of his life.
