Cunningham, John husband, sweetheart & best friend of Sandy took his final curtain call at 81 years of age on January 14, 2020. Born & raised in Excelsior/Chanhassen area. Graduated from Minnetonka High School '56. Taught drama/speech at Cooper and Armstrong high schools for 30 years. Director "Mr. C" of theater performances dramas and musicals. Survived by loving wife of almost 60 years, Sandy; cherished daughters, Kelly (Kirk) Munson, Christa (Nick) Vassallo, Niki (Peter) Johnson; adoring grandchildren, Shaun and Leandra Munson, Christopher, Joshua and Ryan Vassallo and Zach and Marissa Johnson; two fabulous sisters Sharon (Hank) Graef, Patsy (Gordy) Whiteman, 10 treasured nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Patrick and Lyda (nee Anderson) and sister, Linda Meyer. Celebration of life service Friday 2pm, January 31st at The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Snyder Auditorium.
