Woehrlin, Bill Bill Woehrlin died at age 91 on January 9th at Reflections in Northfield, MN. A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of life will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 15th at the Northfield First United Church of Christ. Visitation will precede the service at 10 am and a lunch will follow, both at the church. Born August 1, 1928 in New York City, William Frederick Woehrlin graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, earned his BA in History from Amherst College, and completed an MA and Ph.D. at Harvard University. He met and married Mary (Molly) Odell Duff of Minnetonka while she was at Smith; they were married for 63 years until her death in 2016. After a few years teaching at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Bill was recruited by Carleton College, where he served as a History faculty for 31 years. Post retirement, Bill helped found the Cannon Valley Elder Collegium in Northfield (courses taught by and for seniors) where he took and taught classes for another 22 years.
