Virginia "Ginny" Genevieve Bray passed peacefully Sunday morning surrounded by her children. Ginny was born Dec 30, 1939 to Frank Mitchial Herrick and Mary Ann (Svidron) Herrick.

A 1957 graduate of Roosevelt High School, Ginny married Gary W. Bray in Minneapolis on August 27, 1960. Ginny and Gary raised their three children in the same Mississippi Boulevard house which served as the family compound for the next generation of Christmas, Thanksgiving and Fourth of July celebrations. Ginny lived her life to the fullest, she had a successful career as a legal secretary, she loved golfing, casino trips, family gatherings, and chatting with her CR neighbors. She was a fixture with her daily walks on Mississippi Boulevard. She was a meticulous housekeeper, and worked with a stamina rarely seen in her children's generation.

Ginny is survived by her brother, Mike (Carol) Herrick of St. Louis Park, children, Michelle (Alan) Wilson of Long Grove, IL, M. Socrates (Deb) of Maple Grove and Lisa (Scott) Tessier of Gem Lake. Six grandchildren, Brittany (Daniel) Haslett; Samuel, Jack, Jessica; Nathan, Isaac; and great-grandson William also survive her. A second great grandson is anticipated in January. Ginny was preceded in death by husband Gary; sisters Arlene (Al) Meier of Denham Springs, LA, Theresa (the late Ralph) Dupont, Susan (Denny) Clemmer and brother Bill (Barb) Herrick.

Our gratitude to the friends and relatives who supported Ginny on this most arduous last journey and to the over 100 volunteer blood donors who made Ginny's last cherished year possible.

In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to the Coon Rapids Community Scholarship Association in Ginny's name, CRCSA, PO Box 48144, Coon Rapids, MN 55448.
