Brandenburg, Vernon William Age 85 of Mound passed away peacefully Saturday, September 21, 2019. Preceded in death by wife, Louise "Toots"; Mother-in-law Rose Lallak, parents Bill and Irene Brandenburg; sister Verna Hasse. Lifelong resident of Mound who enjoyed the beautiful surrounding lakes. His main occupation was a general contractor and maintenance group leader at Tonka Toys in Spring Park. He was involved in many community groups and organizations including WeCan, Gillespie Singers and the Westonka Historical Society. Survived by children, Linda (Delmer) Hilk, Tim Brandenburg, Sandra (Tony) Maghrak and Lisa (Jim) Newton; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Brother in-laws Cklair Hasse and Charles (Linda) Lallak. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Westonka Historical Society. Funeral Mass Friday, September 27, 2019 11:00 AM Our Lady of the Lake Church, Mound with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Private interment.
