Olsen, Jean E. age 96, of Edina and Scottsdale, AZ. Passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sept. 8, 2019. Survived by children Jan (Ben) McCoy; Julie (Tim) Valdez; and Jon (Monique) Olsen; grandchildren Kati, Michael, Elena, Juliana, Isabel, Emily and Jayson; great grands Alice, Lincoln and Paxton; and sister Mary Everhard. Jean grew up in Hinsdale, IL and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Young, who was shot down over the Pacific in World War II. She worked as an RN in Chicago, NYC and Minneapolis. She married Jay R. Olsen, MD and they raised their family in Edina. Jean later lived in Scottsdale AZ, was active in her church, devoted to family, and enjoyed traveling the world. She made time to volunteer in elementary schools and for Hospice of the Valley. Memorial/celebration of life at 1:30 PM Monday, Sept 23 at Waters of Edina, 6300 Colonial Way.
