Greenfield, Shirley Ann (Leiner) Age 95, of Minnetonka, died peacefully on April 16, 2019. Born January 25, 1924. Incomparable wife, unfailingly loving and guiding mother and grandmother. A measure of her was the devotion she showed over a lifetime to her childhood and college friends and the devotion they, in turn, showed to her. Preceded in death by husband George (59 years); parents William and Ethel (Alexander) Leiner; sisters Margaret (John) and Aileen; brothers Carl and Winfred (Rosamond). Survived by sons George (Beverly) and their daughters Jerie Meakins, Catherine (Daniel) Muna and Almaz (Brad Johnson) Mengesha, Rick (Nancy) and their daughters Jennifer (Matt) Chumley and Jill Greenfield; and 7 great grandchildren. Shirley was a graduate of Sparta (IL) High School, Monmouth (IL) College and earned an M.A. from the University of Illinois. Memorials preferred to Monmouth College, 700 East Broadway, Monmouth, IL 61462. A private family service of Christian burial has been held.
