Greenstein, Marvin H. Age 92, of Minnetonka, Minnesota passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 16, 2019. Marvin was born on 8/29/1926, one of the last of the greatest generation. Marvin enlisted early in the navy and served in the Pacific during WWII. Marvin was a kind and caring friend to all. He loved and exceled at golf and was one of the top senior golfers in Minnesota but his passion was his family. He was a true people person and a kind sweet soul. He had many lifelong friends that shared the great journey of life. He was known for his great sense of humor and was often the life of the party. His speeches always hit the mark and he was frequently asked to be the master of ceremonies at events. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Mary, brothers Howard (Rosabell) and Allan. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Anita (Tolchinsky) four children, Dan (Andrea), Gary (Jadine), Karen Greenstein and Jane Schwartzman (Jon). He has ten grandchildren, Josina Manu (Eleanor Savage), Matt Greenstein (Jenny Olson), Michele Greenstein, Max and Leah Schwartzman, Jared and Zach Liebesny, Reva, Moishe and Shira Greenstein; sisters-in-law Shirley Greenstein and Claire (Seymour) Schonweather. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. MONDAY, February 18th at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. So., Mpls. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
