Maxine M. Roberson

Roberson, Maxine M. A long-time resident of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away on February 10, 2019 at the age of 91. Maxine was born on March 29, 1927 in Emporia, Kansas and was the daughter of Lorin and Mary Louise Flowers. She attended the University of Kansas and the College of Emporia. While in Emporia, she met her late husband, John Roberson. They were married 53 years. Maxine was known as a highly talented and accomplished author. She had extraordinary insight and a vivid imagination which inspired her to travel from "pen to paper" in publishing a variety of children's and spiritual books, poems and short stories. A children's book, "Peace Is" and spiritual prose, "Chosen to Walk" were amongst her creative writings. She is survived by four children: Dr. Cassandra Roberson, Marsha Roberson-Harder, Willa Roberson-Mitchell (Stephen), and Stuart Roberson; and five grandchildren: Steffon Mitchell, Jerome Smith, Arman Mitchell, William Harder III, and Kristen Evans.
