Melendez, Manuel Jr. Age 82 of St. Paul, passed away February 7, 2019. Preceded in death by mother, Bessie and step father, Marcelino Barrera; father, Manuel Melendez, Sr.; brothers, Ed and Joe Melendez; & sister, Shirley Brown. Survived by wife, Patricia; children, Mary Jane (Peter Laird), Anne, Manny and Lori (Neal St. Onge); grandchildren, Mason and Elyse; sisters, Patty Hyatt, Jane Hauge and Dolly Melendez; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, February 13 at OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 Concord Street, St. Paul, MN 55107. Visitation from 10 - 11 AM prior to mass. Private family interment immediately following mass. Manny was a Boxer and Referee who was involved in the Golden Gloves program for many decades. He was a loyal employee of Sexton Printing for more than 35 years. He was a dedicated Frogtown Community Champion. He lived a life full of rich experiences and will be deeply missed.
