Johnson, Arlie W. Age 93 of St. Anthony, formerly of Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center, went home to the Lord Jan. 12, 2019. Born March 26, 1925 to Helmer and Hulda Nyen Johnson in Fertile, MN, the fifth of eight children. Preceded in death by brothers, Alton, Norris, Harvey; sister, Beverly Proctor; and two infant brothers. Survived by wife, Beverly; brother, Helmer "Bud" Johnson (Sharon), New Brighton; 17 nieces and nephews; step-children, Warren Anderson (Janet), West-borough, MA and Karen Anderson, Burlington, VT; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ben Anderson. A World War II veteran, Arlie served in Germany in the Army Constabulary from 1946 to 1948. He graduated from Dunwoody Institute, then worked as a carpenter in Minneapolis. He was in the Twin Cities Single Lutheran Adults, Twin Cities Lutheran Friends, Retired Carpenters, Square and Twirl dance group, and was a long-time member and usher at Central Lutheran Church.
