Binger, William Edward of Minne-tonka, MN passed away peacefully on Nov. 1, 2018 at 82 years old. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marlys Tennyson; parents, Dr. Melvin and Joy Binger; brothers, Drs. Charles and Richard Binger; and son-in-law, John Morris. He was a devoted spouse and proud father of three beautiful daughters, Bonnie Joy Musgjerd (Jeff Erickson), Holly Ann Dieter (Paul Dieter), and Wendy Morris; grandchildren, Eric, Brooke, and Joshua Radziej, Benjamin Musgjerd, and Alexander, Tucker and Fletcher Morris; great-grandchildren, Abel, Isiah and Adrianna. After Graduating from high school in Rochester, MN, and achieving the prestigious distinction of Eagle Scout, Bill attended and graduated in 1958 at Gustavus Adolphus College where he was very proud to have been a member of the champion swimming team. He graduated with a degree in business admin and went on to become the longtime director of purchasing for Hennepin County. William was indeed a modern-day renaissance man who lived life to its fullest and was blessed with multiple talents and skills which he gladly shared with member of the local community. Also an artist, he enjoyed and taught painting, drawing, sculpting, woodworking and stained-glass art. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughters and he looked forward each year to spending time with family and friends going on an extended hunting, camping, and fishing excursion. Bill always maintained close contact with his roots and friends and relatives ni Rochester, where he was born and raised, and also his peers at Gustavus Adolphus. Bill was a very gifted man whose charm and charisma as well as extreme wit, intelligence, and creativity contributed to a profound impact on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by many but his influence will live on forever. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 13 from 5-7:30 PM with a short service at 5:30 PM, at The Marsh, 15000 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55345, (952) 935-2202.
