Weingarten, Stephan M. 66, left this world on August 12, 2018, after a drive in his red convertible and a dip in his friends' pool. Steph was born and raised in St. Paul and remained forever connected by family and lifelong friends. Steph graduated from the University of Minnesota and the University of Chicago. A man of intellectual curiosity and sly wit, a lover of baseball and classic cars, a fan of good food, drink and the occasional cigar, Steph happily shared his passions with the people in his life. Shaped by his parent's Holocaust survival, Steph felt great kinship with the Jewish community and was proud to raise a Jewish son, Aidan Joseph Weingarten. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon; and brother, Dr. Jeffrey G. Steph is survived by his mother, Felicia Weingarten; his wife of 26 years, Connie Dickson; & their son, Aidan. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. THURSDAY August 16th at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave., St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dr. Jeffrey G.
